UNO Rules
Classic UNO Setup & Gameplay
UNO is played with a deck of 108 cards. Each player is dealt exactly 7 cards at the start. The remaining cards form the draw pile. On your turn, you must match the top card of the discard pile by color, number, or symbol. If you cannot play a matching card, you must draw a card from the deck.
UNO Special Action Cards
- Skip: The next player loses their turn.
- Reverse: Reverses the direction of play.
- Draw Two (+2): Next player draws 2 cards and misses their turn.
- Wild Card: Allows you to declare the new active color.
- Wild Draw Four: Choose the color, force the next player to draw 4 cards and skip their turn.
The UNO Penalty Rule
When you play your second-to-last card leaving only one card in your hand, you must call UNO immediately. If you forget to declare it and an opponent catches you before the next player starts their turn, you must draw 2 penalty cards.
